Ok, soldier goes to Iraq. Soldier shoots things. Soldier uses Muslim icon for target practice. Soldier doesn’t clean up after making a mess and someone finds it. Soldier owns up and gets in trouble. Uh-oh.
Wise? Nay.
Not the smartest thing to do in a Muslim country? Maybe.
Reason for being sent home? Hardly.
Probably a reason to be told, “Hey, don’t do that again”? You bet.
What’s worse is this load of crap uttered by General Jeff Hammond:
“In the most humble manner, I look into your eyes today and I say, please forgive me and my soldiers,” Gen Hammond said, according to CNN.
The military presented the elders with a new copy of the Koran.
Ok, look…give me a break! “I ask you to pretty please…pretty please forgive us all. Pretty? Please! Boo-hoo.” Are we now so emasculated that we have to ask for this kind of forgiveness?
What Gen. Hammond needs is a pair of TruckNutz…and I need a hammer and a good long nail so that I can tack a pair on for him.
